Experience & Organizations
- Sunetra Maha Devi Piriven Vidyapatanapa (High School for Buddhist Monks); Chairman, Class Group Project for A-Level Examinations, 2003; received special awards for chanting, religious activities, and individual art projects.
- Sundara Lanka Foundation – Co-Founder 2007. The mission of the Foundation is to encourage the “greening” of all religious sites in Sri Lanka; to restore the religious sites as community centers in Sri Lanka; to train and upgrade the knowledge and leadership ability of all clergy members in these religious sites.
- Metta From US – Volunteer Assistant, 2004 to Present. Tended to the spiritual and physical needs of tsunami victims while constructing thirty-seven houses in the Galle District of Sri Lanka.
- Sri Mahaviharaya Temple, Pamankada, Dehiwala – Resident Monk 1997 – 2008. Participated in all religious activities including funerals, Sunday School (instructor), daily worship services, meditation (instructor), delivery of sermons.
- Dharma Vijaya Buddhist Vihara, Los Angeles, CA – Resident Monk 2008 – Present. Participation in all religious activities, member, community, and social service projects. Committee member for Vesak and Kathina Celebrations (annual), temple Honolulu Marathon runners care project, Sunday School education, and meditation program. Conduct daily religious services for temple members.
